Fish Dream, by Mark Morgan
We still do not know one-thousandth of one percent
of what nature has revealed to us.
-albert einstein
Mark Morgan was born, raised, and still resides in Seattle. In 1967, Mark’s father taught him the basics of how to use their old Zeiss-Ikon camera beginning a hobby that would endure the intervening 41 years. Self-taught, except for that first afternoon, Mark enjoys using photography to document glimpses of the unexpected and to view his world from new perspectives. Sometimes this requires him to loft his cameras as much as 100 feet into the air on the string of a kite and often he risks precipitately low approval ratings as he pokes his lenses into the face of his lovely daughter. Inspired by the work of some amazing artists on flickr.com, Mark is beginning to use his photos as a starting point for further artistic expression, including the use of infrared imagery and photoshop experimentation.

Connection by Toshihiro “Tommy” Oshima
Tokyo, Japan
What we do today, right now,
Will have an accumulated effect
on all our tomorrows.
-alexandra stoddard
On Tommy Oshima’s bio page at flickr, he writes: “The crystal elements of my eyes are the Looking Glass to observe the world. My mind is the Dark Room which carries the Negative film inside. Then the Photographs are the representation of the Image which is reflected through the Prism of Soul. Photographs won’t tell any truth, but only gives us the bits and elements waking up from our mind’s eye . . . but then, the question is what’s the “truth”?”
